Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Embraces Future

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to release November 4 of this year and is expected to be making several new additions to the gameplay revolving around future technology.

“The future tech in the game is based on technology that we see today and we take it further – that’s one thing about Call of Duty it’s got to be believable, said Glen Schofield, co-founder of Sledgehammer Games. “It’s going to change the experience of Call of Duty like never before.”

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has already revealed several new features to the franchise’s gameplay including the addition of new mecha suits, similar in design to that of Titanfall, new modes of transportation, which should add some new excitement to the game’s storyline, and of course, above all else, new weapons at the player’s disposal. These weapons range from a large portable shield, futuristic plasma guns, to a detection grenade, which will identify surrounding opponents when thrown.

Having been known as the franchise that doesn’t provoke enough creativity and contains non-distinct gameplay throughout all of their games, Call of Duty is taking its first step into a brand-new realm that won’t just change the scope of the game itself, but the online competitive play as well. I’m excited to see what the game brings to table and I’m certainly happy we’re not seeing a Modern Warfare 4 or Black Ops 3.
